About Jerry Goffe

Jerry Goffe discovered his passion in commercial
& architectural photography in 1968, after schooling at the University
of New Mexico
and working as a civil & structural engineer. After a few years, he
opened what is now known as Goffe Visual Services.
His photographs have appeared in many local and regional publications as
well as Sunset

and National
Geographic
.
In 1971, he had a photographic exhibit completed for the U.S. Information
Agency on Southwest architecture which toured the Soviet Union.
In the early 1980’s, Mr. Goffe began to concentrate his expertise on legal evidence documentation. Today, the vast preponderance of his assignments are for the legal profession.
As a certified legal evidence photographer &
videographer, Goffe proudly complies with the requirements mandated by the
American Guild of Court Videographers
(AGCV), and the Evidence
Photographers International Council
(EPIC). Other organizations including the National Forensic Video Association
(NFVA) and Association of Professional Videographers (APV) have certified
Mr. Goffe. His company also conforms to the technical and ethical standards
required by the legal profession.
He has authored articles in the New Mexico State Bar Bulletin, the Journal of Evidence Photography, VideoAge Magazine, and was interviewed by Panasonic for his innovative use of video equipment.
Goffe is constantly learning, attending national and regional seminars, as a speaker as well as a participant. His presentations vary from Videotaping Depositions, to the Relationship between Video and Still Photographs in Evidence Documentation, and Night Vision Photography. "Applying new techniques and adapting equipment for multiple uses, are two important educational objectives," states Mr. Goffe.
As a certified legal evidence photographer and videographer, he is often called on and qualified to testify as an expert in court. Goffe Visual Services’ client list is represented by both plaintiff and defense firms that include sole practitioners to large international firms. His company does work for governmental agencies and Goffe is a consultant to criminalistics departments within law enforcement agencies throughout the Southwest.
